Sussex Ladies League Division Three
Lewes 3 3
Middleton & Bognor 1 1
Lewes started off this game showing a few nerves with the league
title hanging in the balance; these were soon quashed as Becca Delaney
(Lewes' top goal scorer) put Lewes 1-0 up in the first ten minutes.
Lewes then took control of the game, dominating the midfield with
some fast attacks down both the wings. A second, fantastic goal
from an acute angle came from Milli Fawsett ten minutes later. Lewes
ended the first half 2-0 up. Bognor came back with their one and
only goal from a break early in the second half, which Lewes immediately
counteracted with a simple straight strike from Becca Delaney. The
score at full time was 3-1 to Lewes, a win consistent with their
unbeaten track record, and one which ensures their place as winners
of the league with two games in hand.

St Bede’s 1 2
Lewes 3 4
Lewes Ladies 3s played St Bedes away at 10.30am
Lewes, determined to return to their winning ways scored an early
goal from a classic straight strike from the top of the D from Milli
Fawsett.
A second goal from Becca Delaney put Lewes 2-0 up. St. Bedes capitalized
on a break through the midfield just before half time, taking the
score to 2-1.
A brilliant textbook short corner from Lewes put them 3-1 up. However,
St.Bedes remained undeterred and put away another goal. Lewes raised
their game, and their class really shone in the last 20 minutes
of the game with a fourth and final goal from Becca Delaney after
a one on one with the home teams keeper. A good result for Lewes
leaving them undisputedly at top of the table.

Sussex Ladies League Division Three
Lewes 3 3 (Delaney, Fawsett, Page)
Crawley 2 3
Lewes started off on great form with an early goal from a straight
strike from Milli Fawsett five minutes into the game. A textbook
penalty corner followed with Becca Delaney scoring Lewes' second
goal in the first ten minutes. A break from Crawley's midfield and
their first shot on goal took the score to 2-1 putting Crawley back
in the game. Lewes then failed to defend another break down the
left wing, allowing an equalizer from Crawley moments before half
time.
Both teams came out fighting in the second half, and a fast attack
from Crawley's forward line put Lewes 3-2 down. Lewes continued
to battle however, and the last 20 minutes of the game saw most
of the play in Crawley's third. A rather untidy goal from Lewes
took the game to 3-3 at full time. Lewes remain unbeaten and top
of the league.

Horsham 5 1
Lewes 3 3
Lewes Ladies 3's played Horsham Ladies 5's in a top of the table
clash on Saturday away at Horsham.
With Lewes leading the league and Horsham in close 2nd, this match
was always going to be a good one.
Lewes started off, true to form, in control of the game, with a
good early goal from Sarah Wigget ten minutes into the first half.
Lewes continued to move the ball round brilliantly, setting up several
dangerous attacks down both wings.
A second well deserved goal from Lewes by Ellie (surname)? came
just before half time. Taking the score to 2-0 at half time.
Horsham came out fighting in the 2nd half, with a goal from a break
down the midfield, taking the score to 2-1.
Lewes then really came into their own, confidently breaking up any
attacks from Horsham well in their own half.
A third and fantastic goal came from Becca Delaney ten minutes from
full time; a reverse flick into the top right hand corner,
leaving Horsham stunned and sealing the deal for Lewes.
Lewes remain top of the league, with a 6 point lead.

Sussex Ladies League Division Three
Lewes 3 6 (Delaney (2), Fawsett, Page (2), Sophie)
Eastbourne 3 1
Lewes started off in a slightly lower gear than previous weeks
and about five minutes into the game Eastbourne took advantage of
this and scored from a break up the right wing. Lewes reacted and
quickened the pace of their game, pushing Eastbourne into their
third of the pitch. Sophie equalised for Lewes fifteen minutes from
half time and the score was 1-1 at half time. Lewes came into their
own in the second half, passing brilliantly into space across the
midfield. A second goal came from a textbook penalty corner, from
Milli Fawsett, shortly followed by a third goal from another penalty
corner by Emily Page. A dynamic break from centre midfield left
Rebecca Delaney in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper which she coolly
put away, taking Lewes 4-1 up. Another goal from a scramble in the
D by Emily Page and a fantastic sixth and final goal from Delaney
five minutes from full time, saw the final score at 6-1 to Lewes.
Another convincing win and great performance from Lewes Ladies 3s,
re-affirming their position at top of the league.
