This season’s sessions start on 30th September

Lewes Junior Hockey Club was formed a few years ago thanks to an “Awards for All” grant. The club is divided into two sections; Under 10s and over 10s.

The under 10s group meet ready to start warming up at 9.45am and go on until 10.45am.

The over 10’s meet at 10.15am ready to warm up, and go on until 11.30am.

The sessions include a warm up, drills, fun activities and games. They are led by a qualified coach and several assistant coaches. Young players are encouraged to develop their skills and their team work in a friendly and supportive environment. We cater for young players of all abilities and the emphasis is on playing for enjoyment as well as improvement.

We do enter teams for several tournaments through the season, and try to offer players as many games as possible.

New members are always welcome – we provide sticks for those who want to come along and have a try first.

We ask that all young players wear sports clothing, shin pads and gum shields, and bring a drink with them every session. The cost is only £20 for the season, with a small match fee if they are asked to play in any games or tournaments.
