The ladies 1st XI had a very successful season last year, gaining promotion into South Div 3, which should be a great challenge for them this season.  They have played in the summer league at East Grinstead and built on the season’s success by winning their half of the league. The 1s XI train together on a Tuesday evening and will benefit greatly this season from having at least one of their coaches travel with them to all games.

The ladies 2nd XI will be competing in Sussex Division 2 this season and are looking to aim for promotion, hopefully benefiting from training with the 1st XI as a squad.

The 3rd XI were very successful in last season’s Sussex Division 3, narrowly missing out on promotion, but their aim is to get promoted this season. With the same team spirit on and off the pitch that they displayed last season, they are bound to do well.

The 4th XI play in Sussex Division 4, also had a successful season last year and hope to finish in the top half of the league at least this coming season.

Ladies training night is Tuesday, with the 3s and 4s training from 7 – 8pm (with a qualified coach) although this sometimes goes on later as players are keen to continue playing games and practice set plays. The ladies 1s and 2s train from 7.30 – 9.30pm (with two qualified coaches). We aim to make training hard work but fun, and teams certainly benefit from players attending training as regularly as they can.

Captains meet to select teams every week and all players, young players especially, are encouraged to play in the team that best suits their skill and level of experience. Teams have games most Saturdays, and players are encouraged to make themselves available as often as they can.

The ladies section is always keen to attract new members and players of any calibre will find a warm welcome at the club, both on the pitch and in the bar! We are a very friendly club and emphasis is as much on enjoyment as winning. All teams are looking forward to an exiting and, hopefully, successful new season so why not come and be part of the team?
