The Southdown Players will be performing their latest offering – Mother Goose & the Midwynter Murders – on Thursday 10th, Friday 11th & Saturday 12th December (oh, yes, they will!), so make a note in your diaries now.
The play is a subtle blend / horrific car-crash of theatrical genres – Christopher Biggins meets Agatha Christie. On reading the script the cast were unanimous in their view that, of all the many pantomimes performed over the last few decades, this year’s was undoubtedly the most recent.
However we are short in two departments (or three if you include talent).
Firstly, we need a pianist who is up for the challenge of ensuring that the songs performed by the cast are recognisable (tunefulness is a bonus) and who is available for rehearsals on Wednesday nights. If you are that pianist, or you know someone who fits the bill, please contact the Club.
Secondly, we are on the look-out for more sponsors who, in return for having their company name in the programme, can help finance the cast ‘refreshments’. If you would be prepared to join the list of generous sponsors, please contact the Club.
