The Southdown club is home to Lewes Squash Club. We are a friendly and inclusive club, catering for all players, ages and abilities and warmly welcome new members.
We encourage non-members to come and try our facilities and meet new players before committing to our full membership. Our weekly Wednesday Club Nights are the ideal sessions to do this but contact us if these are not convenient.
Our strength is our membership and consequently we offer everything from social squash through to competitive team matches with everything in between, including Squash57 (formerly known as Racketball). Our social events are legendary, including doubles evenings, Squash57 evenings and mini-tournaments, followed by food and drink in the Southdown Cafe.

Recently voted the ’Healthiest Sport’ by Forbes magazine, we run an extensive programme of coaching, competitions and social sessions including a very popular ladies squash night and a thriving junior coaching programme. We organise an inclusive club championship every year, with finals taking place in May and host internal club leagues as well as four competitive adult teams who play in the Sussex leagues.
Our junior players regularly reach county and national standard. The juniors have their own designated annual club championship.
